Having used Bill’s notes for 4 years now, I find them very precise indeed. As I am now competing on the British and Scottish Rally Championships, and on BRC rounds we have the opportunity to make our own. However when it comes to Scottish events we have to rely completely on the notes supplied by Bill, and we have absolutely no problems driving at pace with the notes he provides. He is not over cautious when making us aware of hazards and if he states it’s a double caution (!!) you can be sure it will be potentially dangerous. For the record, my best ever stage time was on the Park Stages 2003, when I beat the stage bogie by 55 seconds, this was due to committed driving on my part but driving absolutely to the Notes supplied by Bill.
