The DVD has similarly been used by international events to ensure that the stages meet with the expectations of the championship officials and that of the teams. For professional teams who will not have the opportunity to visit the event before the date, Scotmaps can record the route highlighting surface conditions, route gradient, junctions and radio points.
This gives the teams and competitors a closer insight into the event they face ensuring that the cars can be set up to suit the conditions before they arrive reducing time wasted on the shakedown. This service also reduces enquiries received by the event co-ordinators as to information on the stages.
